Known for its ability to quickly analyze, fund, and close complex transactions, GVD has built a reputation for acquiring and developing under-utilized commercial properties for long-term investment/growth.
For over 50 years, GVD has been an innovator in the retail commercial real estate field. GVD pioneered in the development of “power centers” in the 1980’s, combining large promotional tenants like Costco, Home Depot, and IKEA with restaurants and smaller retail users. GVD was also one of the first to partner with community redevelopment agencies to revitalize outdated shopping centers and mixed-use projects, such as the 95-acre Plaza at Puente Hills and the 40-acre Fullerton Town Center, both in Southern California.
As GVD has evolved over the years, so has its portfolio. Today, GVD owns and operates a diverse range of properties, including shopping centers, hotels, restaurants, event centers and industrial developments across 18 states. GVD focuses on creating vibrant spaces that drive success.
Many of GVD’s properties are owned debt-free, generating cash flow for reinvestment or for enhancing existing properties. This conservative financial approach, along with our strong cash position and limited reliance on financing, has allowed GVD Commercial Properties to weather recurring economic downturns.
